Derby County (0) Preston NE (2)
As a life long Derby County fan I’m approaching tonight’s game with the typical fear and trepidation that precedes any semi-final. To lose a semi is particularly cruel because you are denied the “big day out” that a final apperance permits. This semi is the biggest game Derby have had in a very long time. The fact that we are 2-0 down going into this final leg and missing our leading goalscorer, our midfield general and two defensive stalwarts doesn’t really help my mood. There really is no hope and we are not ready for the premiership despite the greeat work done by George Burley. That doesn’t mean I don’t want County to be playing Chelsea next season. No, what I don’t want next season is mid-table osbcurity in the Championship. So no matter what the outcome, I’ll still be singing “We are Derby, Super Derby, Super Derby, Super RAMS”
